HIV/AIDS IS WIPING OUR VILLAGE

HIV/AIDs in Muksero Village of Mosocho Division in Kisii Central District of Nyanza Province in Kenya has left 244 households out of 274 child-headed. Widows too languish in disparation. Hopeless and uncertainity abounds unabated. No VCT nor health clinic near by. Poverty inhibits many affected persons from accessing health care in other places, either for lack of transport or simply a fight to meet daily basic needs that overrides the community's quest for health care. Kalando Youth Group in collaboration with Universal Community Development Foundation (UCODEF) has developed an integrtaed intervention that seeks to raise US$ 45,000 to change this trend and salvage a village from the brink.
